First abstract landscape at all and first landscape in pastel. It worked surprisingly well. The sky's colours are a little more subtle in the original, softer. But velour paper is a bitch to photograph, unfortunately, so this is the best I came up with. I'm going to try an LJ-cut and a bigger image behind cut next.

Charcoal portrait done during Summer Academy near my home where I attended a course for head and figure drawing. The person here is Melanie, the model we had over for 2 days for nude studies. I asked her to pose during a break because I wanted to concentrate on her face for once instead of doing dozens of quick drawings of her body as we'd done all morning. She was kind enough to agree and this is the result:
Charcoal on grey-brown mi teintes paper, 30 x 50 cm/12 x 19,5 inches
