Charcoal portrait done during Summer Academy  near my home where I attended a course for head and figure drawing. The person here is Melanie, the model we had over for 2 days for nude studies. I asked her to pose during a break because I wanted to concentrate on her face for once instead of doing dozens of quick drawings of her body as we'd done all morning. She was kind enough to agree and this is the result:
